Added 2022-04-27 01:34:01 +0000 UTCHey everyone, you must have seen the last wip for that girl, and maybe you did notice that she was looking a bit more cartoony than the last time you saw her. Actually I made her a tiny bit more cartoony, as I thought she looked so adorable this way, but this makes her also a lot less realistic! So I'm making this post to ask everyone, what's your preference? Realistic or stylistic? It's just about the face, nothing else. Basically her face is smaller, rounder, and her eyes are bigger and rounder too. I think she's so pretty in a stylistic look, but I also like her realistic.. I don't know what to do :(

Seems to me that using it for cartoonish/animie styles is like using a racecar to go the to grocery store: Sure, it'll work, but there are other options for that trip, while the racecar is best-suited for making 3D... :)

2022-04-27 22:30:38 +0000 UTCAs always, it's hard to settle on an age target, so it's not impossible that the head is too big compared to the age age she seems to be if you solely focus on the face. I'm still heavily into importing everything and relearning all the procedures to make sure that i don't forget anything, so nothing is finished yet and i can very well change her face again. But as much as i like realism, i like these big marbles too, it's hard to make a choice really :( I would love for the face to be even more realistic, but I'm starting to think that daz can't do better in terms of children unless you go and sculpt yourself

Upon further consideration the first one does feel subjectively better, I suspect because proportions are better. Unfortunately I can't decide. If you are wanting realistic, perhaps increase the eye size a touch as they appear to be popular features? Also... not sure if its just because I have been looking at them too long, but the head appears a tad on the large side (even for a small human)?
