NEW LOOK! Cinemare Sins Season 6 Preview

Hey all! I'm excited to share this work-in-progress look at the new style for season 6.

I'm also scripting and getting ready to record the first part of the premiere alongside making all of these style changes, so if all goes as planned it should go live on the 1st as usual [hopefully a few days earlier than that here on Patreon!]

What's new? Well for starters I'm re-doing the project templates. An all-new project folder for an all-new season is the perfect time to start fresh and make some improvements and upgrades.

I did my best to keep things similar in functionality but fresh in style. Although there's an all-new intro, the "placeholder" images you see will remain pretty much the same as previous recent intros [so, a character on each side.] I'd like to think everything's a lot smoother and better-animated now!

Speaking of animation, I'm also taking this opportunity to smoothen out transitions and moment-to-moment flow. This means the intro will wipe to reveal the main video, the ending flows straight into the outro, and sin counters will have a little bit of movement to match the new "impactful" sound effect. Speaking of which...

My goal is to get everything to being 100% original [or at least public domain.] That means all of the sounds are revamped in this version! Although the goal early on was to copy Cinema Sins as closely as possible, over the years I've been trying to be more original and do my own thing. Part of that process involved something along the lines of "creative guilt" for making so many changes but never feeling brave enough to change the core sound of the videos. Well, I'm still cautious of such a drastic change, but if I'm going to use different sounds at all I figured now is the time.

The intro music is the same public domain track I've been using as an outro for a long time now, so hopefully that familiarity helps to sell it. The "woosh" sounds are also public domain and not only are they carefully timed to the beat for an exciting high-impact effect but they're also incorporated into the new ding. Yes...a new ding... this is the one thing I fear will be the hardest for people to adjust to considering how iconic the original is. However, I'm quite proud of the new ding because it feels way more unique and personal. I made it myself, so it's my baby. However as with any of these changes, I'm certainly open to feedback on it.

Oh yeah, another big change is the complete lack of a timer. Did you notice? Honestly, it never really did have a purpose and the only reason Cinema Sins uses one is because it's supposed to be some kind of algorithm/SEO trick where people are more likely to click on countdown/timed videos. It never had any real point, and I feel that it was only cluttering the titles.

That brings us to one last change I'm still rather undecided on: the YouTube titles themselves. I'm thinking of dropping the "parody" keyword because I never felt that it fit well in the first place but I used it because I felt compelled to differentiate from Cinema Sins to avoid stealing clicks by accident. Now I'm hoping to get by with "Cinemare Sins: Everything Wrong With Episode Name" which is much more to the point, has the Cinemare Sins branding, and isn't cluttered with a pointless "in x minutes or less." My biggest concern  would be people mistaking "Cinemare Sins" as "Cinema Sins" but the fact the real Cinema Sins doesn't put that in the title to begin with may be enough to let people know my videos are something different.
