2024-11-14 05:23:40 +0000 UTCIt really doesn't matter if it's new chat or not. It works the same. Memories are separate for each chat. Maybe you didn't write memories for that chat.

2024-11-11 14:40:33 +0000 UTCYeah I'm not sure either, I'm just confused since it was working just fine not even 2 days ago, but out of nowhere the bots just starting replying with random responses based off of the memories, it just completely ignores the current conversation with both v1 and v2. Some of my memories are a little long but it didn't cause issues at all before now.

2024-11-11 13:11:22 +0000 UTCv1 and v2 seem to be working. v1 is supposed to add the dashes and v2 may not reply to one word replies because the memory overshadows it. I guess the only thing I could do is to improve the prompting. Not much I can do, really.

I was not sure if this is how it worked as intended and came here for more info and saw this comment. So this isn't normally how this works? More info for dev: issue persists on Firefox with a new cloned private chat. One-sentence memory used for testing in plain text format. Gonna try with a clean public bot and with v1 and on Chrome. It seems like it happens more often when shorter replies are used. Update: v1 is working for me on Firefox at an interval of 5 messages, except it is adding "-" with a line break for each memory entry on top of my message text. v2 is still as Black described for me, especially when sending short phrases such as "hello", "yeah", "thanks", "bye", the bot always responds by acknowledging the memory text every time.

2024-11-11 06:31:21 +0000 UTCJust wondering if something happened to the extension, the bot only replies to the memories now instead of the current conversation, it worked fine a few days ago so I know it isn't an issue with the memories I made. Both v1 and v2 cause the same problem no matter how long or short the memory is.

And is there any advantage or disadvantage to this method versus Import Chat? -What does custom history do exactly, and how does it work? Specifically in regard to “in case you want to save certain chats and don’t want them to ever disappear”? What are the conditions in which chats disappear and how does custom history change that?

2024-11-09 21:43:49 +0000 UTCUse Show Settings. If it doesn't say it's private under Definition, you can get the whole bot with any of the copy/download options. Definition is actually Example Messages but it all goes into the same place in the end. This is why it can also be used as an extra Description alongside message examples for bot to follow and imitate.

Your guide is super handy but I figured I would ask first instead of assuming. Regarding “Copy Character”- what is a definition and how do you know whether a definition is private? And, is there any way to obtain a copy of a character that has a private definition with their definition intact? For example, will Download Character download private definitions? I just want to make sure I’m getting the whole “bot”. Thanks so much in advance for your help and all your hard work on this project!

2024-11-09 20:52:59 +0000 UTCIf the redirect has both patreon code and state in url, it should proceed. The problem was Patreon wasn't adding the state in the redirect anymore. If they brought it back, 2.9.0 should work as well.
