In-app popup and easy mass swipe

Old style popup and mass swipe quick access is available for pro members.

Why pro only? Since I am trying to switch to offerwall with ads model, I can't offer membership upgrade with Iframes (used to open pages inside other pages) because it doesn't work. If it becomes possible in the future, I can make it available for everyone.

Dark/Sepia/Light themes - New Update

You can change the theme from the paint bucket on top right.

Fast switch tabs + Clone chat fix + Dark mode

Got a lot of complaints about user experience, especially by mobile users about how separate window/tab is so hard to navigate.

You can open the tools the same way, from the chatbots using the draggable icon on top right, the panel button. This no longer creates a new tools window if it already exists, instead it switches to it.

And now the tools has a "Go back" button which takes you back to your chatbot instantly.

Memory Box of mobile c.ai app (RELEASED)

As far as I can see, the memory box (in the pinned messages section) is only available on the mobile app. Maybe it's on early access or mobile access only, either way I brought it to the web version.

I confirmed the bots can see the content. It's memory manager alternative, and it doesn't use your message to insert them. The bot just knows like it's the character settings.

CAI Tools Premium Unlock Fix

There was an issue with login some people were having, apparently for a long time. Technically there is nothing wrong with login, but after redirecting to character.ai, character.ai decides to refresh the page. Membership check runs twice because of this and the latter takes priority. However, the login code can only be used once, so it gives error, not unlocking the extension.

Custom Fonts in next update - Chatbot Manager

Get your .otf, .ttf, .woff files ready. Download them from google fonts, fontspace etc. Every setting of the font is automated so just upload and use.

That was harder than I anticipated. That's what I get for delaying "more fonts" requests. Users uploading their own fonts is better because most of the fonts are not open to free commercial use. You can upload anything you want. Sorry again, starter pack wasn't really the best set of fonts.

Hey, I am back from conscription, got sick and stuff, but I am back on track. Quite an experience, getting up at 5.30 am and shaving lol. And I never knew a cannon shot was that loud, it physically hits you.

CAI Tools re-make COMPLETE

Update: CAI Tools v2.10.4 and Chatbot Manager are now compatible and won't cause infinite loading in chat.

CAI Tools didn't get an update for some time. At some point it seemed impossible to keep maintaining the spaghetti code, so I coded it from scratch, Chatbot Manager was a great idea. I spoke about it in the previous post, now it's time for change logs. (I will update CAI Tools later)

Bugs found and eliminated

Memory Manager v1 & v2, Mass Swipe and Preload Swipes fixed.

I was getting a lot of reports about the Memory Manager. But I wasn't able to replicate the issues.

Basically the problem was that sometimes the website establishes WebSocket connection before the extension can wrap it with its own logic. It depends on the device how often that happens.

Having problems with new Chat Cloning?

In v2.8.0, I have added a new method of cloning. Someone reported it creates the shells (messages to be replaced) but the messages aren't replaced. Staying as "Just say hello, nothing else". Do you have this bug? Or something else, please comment.

(I thought the demand for this would drop after the website's new duplicate feature. Since they have all the back end, they can do it instantly. But turns out it doesn't duplicate after 999 messages. So it still has a purpose to serve. Alongside chat imports of course.)

Imports memories into EVERY new message temporarily. Doesn't show it to you, edits message behind the scenes to clean it up. Which means it doesn't eat away context limits of the AI by leaving traces in the past messages.

Is there a native solution to changing the greeting for each new chat freely without altering the greeting and losing the old one?

Summarize feature is powered by ChatGPT, so it requires the host permission. Just like how it needs character.ai host permission to work on the site.

Firefox users rejoice!

I created a new version of the extension with Manifest v3, that means the features that didn't work before will now work just like in Chrome (Chat cloning, importing chats, url backgrounds). Also no need for all urls permission to fix url backgrounds now that it's Manifest v3.

Just one small note, Manifest v3 is only supported in newer Firefox versions. If you don't want to or can't update the browser, the older version is still available at the store as "CAI Tools Legacy".
