As for your questioning about the production vs lyrics etc - ZEN was actually created to tease her album coming out. The MV came out of nowhere on January 25th, but it wasn't released on streaming platforms etc until after the album "Ruby" came out. (on March 7th, so over a month of 'buzz factor'). One heck of a marketing strategy, it def had people - even those who didn't know who Jennie was, really curious about the rest of the project. It was produced by (according to wiki) -"Zen" was written by Jennie, Asheton Hogan, Bibi Bourelly, Kirsten Alyssa Spencer, and Jelli Dorman and produced by Pluss. The MV was directed by Cho Gi-seok, a Korean photographer and the founder of streetwear brand KUSIKOHC. I thought you'd like this one though - that MV is just gorgeous and this song, while minimalistic in nature, bumps so hard in your car lol.
