Bringing Sir Owen back to recognize Guts is a great moment! Of course Guts would love nothing more than to find Griffith and dismantle him! Or would he? He has others to look after now and it’s more important to take care of them than to go after Griffith right now. I have a friend who is reading this as well ( I made him! ) it’s interesting to see how he interprets the events. So far he is just past the eclipse....and man! We just about had an argument about it! 😆. So far, he thinks all the hardship Guts has been through was self inflicted. I don’t know how to answer that. I mean, every decision we make has consequences. His had dire ones. He’s not wrong, but I think that this arc truly reflects the growth that has happened to Guts as a protector instead of a warrior. We all make bad decisions and live with the damage for, sometimes yrs.... it’s how you deal with it that is important! I think that is fundamental message in Berserk. Plus my friend is a bit too logical ..... his gestalt is broken sometimes.
