Finally got to sit down and watch! Yes, this is why many people do not like Nina. I don’t hate her though, I would like to think that in a situation like this, I would behave with courage and dignity, but you never know until you are in that type of situation. She definitely represents the mediocre citizen. Casca’s brand was indeed reacting to all the pain and suffering of the dead over who knows how many years and lives that had accumulated in Albion. I love that the demon baby protects its mother. Yes, you are right, it has only ever guided Guts or wanted to be near him as a child would want to be with its parent. Guts is a bit freaked out by his child though and does not accept it openly. He is very much scared from the eclipse. In a way, every time he sees the child, it’s a reminder of a lost family that he could have had with Casca if Griffith hadn’t done what he did. When Casca sees her child, she sees her child and Guts sees a corrupted dead child. It’s very sad. And yes Demon baby is a good baby!
