Hanging in the Abacos

Good afternoon!

We're still at Green Turtle Cay waiting on weather but that's ok. It's been front after front since we've been here. Yesterday it was blowing around 20 with 25knt gusts occasionally. That's not a huge deal but when you need to sail around Whale Cay, it is.

So we wait...

The weather broke a bit today and there's slight chance we can go tomorrow or Saturday. If not, next week for sure as the winds are forecasted to lay down.

Yesterday we took our little rented golf cart to a sweet little club where we've been uploading videos. The wifi is pretty good and it's FREE! So that's wonderful. During uploading Jeremiah had to run out to get a form notarized at the island legal center so that the older kids can travel to the Bahamas without an adult, on his way back he ran into these two! If you haven't heard of Sailing Uma, they were a huge part of our inspiration to go sailing! It was neat to hang out with them for a bit, then we were off to the boat again. We talked about meeting up to do a little diving on some nearby reefs so that might happen.

Today was a provision trip! Let me tell you, it's EXPENSIVE!! I got about 10 things and it was over $70. A package of sliced American cheese along was about $8 alone. Shew!

Overall things are great! The water where we are is clean enough to run the Watermaker and we've been using the generator to keep the power going. Things are great!!
