We took this photo while anchored next to this little guy, it was home to two men that had sailed all the way through and around Florida. It was seriously a tiny little boat. The engine putted like the children's cartoon The Little Engine that Could. They pulled up next to us in the Dry Tortuga's recently, dropped anchor and we all enjoyed the scenery!
Although adorable, this is NOT the boat we're in the process of purchasing. Without giving too many details in fear of jinxing ourselves...During our travels to Florida we viewed a few boats that were for sale. One in particular was interesting but we honestly didn't have much hope in it. We felt that it was too good of a boat for the owner to let go for a decent price and it was above our price range. It was worth a shot though so we spoke with the owner to see if there was another way we could go about purchasing the boat.
After doing so, we found that we might be able to work a deal! We agreed to make a deal, we verbally agreed to some terms and we've gotten a few other people (attorneys) involved to draft up some paperwork to see if we're able to make it happen! The deal would be between the parties and no loans would be involved.
The boat is located in Florida, which we have ZERO interest in sailing anymore being that we've sailed all the way around it. So if the deal goes through, we'll be traveling back to the Sunshine State, moving aboard and ripping out of there! We'll be headed straight for the Bahamas and towards the Caribbean, eventually for Panama.
More on that later and to answer the question of a catamaran or a monohull....It's a....Stay tuned!
Haha..Okay okay, I will tell you it's larger than the Lazy Gecko. Newer also!
Thank you for all your support Patrons, you are wonderful to us and we appreciate all you do!
Love,
