Added 2017-08-22 16:11:48 +0000 UTCIt was quite the day yesterday but the Lazy Gecko is finally on the hard. We found another boat yard that is much safer and very well kept but of course that includes a big price increase. You know what they say though, safety comes first! The peace of mind will be worth the cost. I must say that we had a wonderful experience during the entire process. We're now in the works of finding someone to watch over her while we search for our new floating home. Even though boats aren't 'really' alive we feel that our girl is rather upset. She'll be happier once she realizes she just needs some TLC which will include new bottom paint, canvas work, the outboard needs to be rebuilt along with a couple of other minor things. Plus we want her to be safe and well kept during hurricane season. So things are good! We'll be around here for the next week or so getting things set up and in motion...Then we're off to view some new boats!! How exciting!
