We had a great 5 nights at anchor!

We had a long day today that also had some crazy moments! We're now along the ICW, we've pulled into a marina to finish the AC now that the final parts have arrived. We will also repair the depth sounder as it stopped working, restock our supplies and do some laundry. 5 nights at anchor as we cruised the St Johns River went really well! The dogs handled it great and Rhys loved every second!! We hit bottom today but only when our new best dock buddy, Nate, told us we were good to come into the marina at low tide. "Dude, yeah bro, you're good!" Nate reassured us over the phone in his surfer voice...Nope. We got stuck, had to wait for the tide to come in. While we were stuck on land the sweetest thunderstorm came in too! Lol It was so nice as to blow from the south which threatened to push the Lazy Gecko into the cement wall next to us. Jeremiah throttled forward to jam our keel more on the muddy bottom so we'd stick. It worked and we didn't move. So once the storm passed, we finally backed off the spot we were stuck on we cruised a mile down the ICW and back. When calling back to ask if we had 6' of depth yet, Nate said "Uh, I don't know bro...this is just my third day on the job...want me to go ask someone who does know?" Sure Nate, that would be great! Don't be a Nate! Haha!! Coolest part of the day?! As soon as we stepped off the Gecko onto the dock to tie up the lines we heard someone yell "Lazy Geckos!!", we looked over and had new friends inviting us to a wonderful dinner on their brand new catamaran! It was so yummy and such a blessing!! We're happy to be here...let the projects begin!
