Character Preview: Sooyi

A double whammy release for today, as thanks for the patience in my absence!

This girl is Sooyi, a cute, sophisticated and sexy girl not so dissimilar to my last release, Yeonsoo. In fact, when designing this girl, I had in mind that she might be Yeonsoo's younger sister! She shares many of the same qualities as her sister, including her bold sense of style which accentuates her curves and sexy features. She's very used to drawing the looks of the people around her, and finds a lot of enjoyment switching between being intimidatingly sexy and dangerously cute. Her red lipstick and light gray colored contacts that she prefers to wear only serve to make her gaze even harder to meet, a fact she finds much delight in. Perhaps to some degree, she's compensating for an inferiority complex of always having been compared against her perfect sister. It might even be why her fashion sense is so similar!

The card will, of course, be available for patrons. This one utilizes a sjjpl hair mod which may be paid, so if you'd like to swap the hair out for one you have please go ahead and do so! I just like the way this one looks the most. Outside of that, this character uses Freelancer hair + clothes, and the choker is from GDC. I'm unsure of which ones are paid and which ones aren't, but please keep in mind I don't redistribute paid mods!

If you'll mind my ramblings, I also have been thinking of making some new makeup overlays for my girls. I've developed quite a fondness for the heavier eyeshadow, which til now I've been achieving with one of the face paints in the repack. However, I haven't been completely happy with those because of the way that the eyeshadow cuts out on the inner corner of the eye. It has a very flat vertical edge, and makes it look quite awkward whenever my characters have their eyes partially closed. An overlay would only partially solve this, as I wouldn't be able to dynamically change the color and shine for each character. But, for me, who has no experience making mods, doing it that way seems a difficult task. I've considered it, so perhaps sometime in the future you may be able to see some new mods from yours truly! Though, those will certainly be a long ways away if they ever happen. Either way, just know that I see the issue in the eyeshadow and am thinking of how to improve it!

Also, having just come back from Korea, I have rekindled my motivation to continue refining this style. Not that I expect that to be an issue for any of you all, but it is how it is! So look forward to more Korean inspired characters!

The next release will use primarily free mods because I am planning for it to be a release to the public as a Christmas present! So please be on the lookout for that, and in the meantime I do have a few commissions in the queue which may release before then. Time will tell!
