Accountant Career: Office & At-Home Mod

This mod came from a Patreon request, and I thought it was a really fun idea! I wanted to get creative with it, so this is something totally new for me. I’d love to hear your thoughts on it.

The mod is all about accounting:

Features:

New 5-Level Skill: Money Mastery

• As your Sim progresses, they’ll unlock powerful strategies to manage finances, invest wisely

• This skill is essential for any Sim looking to excel in the world of accounting.

  

• You can use various computer interactions to develop your MoneyMastery skill

• There are various interactions that can be unlocked as your level increases.

• Your sim can attempt to pass the CPA Exam which will unlock many new opportunities for them.

  

• The MoneyMastery interactions can be found on the computer, in the MoneyMastery Pie Menu.

• Once your sim passes the CPA exam they will the opportunity to join the Certified Account Career and/or become a Personal Accountant

One Level Certified Accountant Career: CPA is required 

• This is a one-level career. So there are no promotions.

• They’ll jump right into handling key financial tasks, skipping the long grind.

Personal Accountant: Digital and In Person Clients

• Your Sim can now take on clients both digitally and in person.

• Digital clients offer a flexible work-from-home vibe, while in-person clients bring a more hands-on, challenging experience.

How it works:

Once your Sim has the CPA certification, they will be able to become a personal accountant. I created this feature with the idea that your Sim can have another career while also being a personal accountant, or they can focus solely on being a personal accountant. Either way, you have the option to play it how you want.

The first thing your sim needs to do is Offer Financial Services on your computer. If they do book clients, they can start working immediately.

Your Sim gets paid every 3 days. How you handle the tasks is your choice. You don't have to complete every task before the end of your payment cycle; you pick and choose. However, the more tasks you complete, the higher your work performance will be, and the more satisfied your clients will be. You can use the Financial Health Check Interaction Option to see how well your sim is doing.

Sometimes your Sim might do exceptionally well, and if they do, they will receive a promotion, leading to an increase in their reputation, client list, and pay. Over time, your Sim can reach a point where they earn a significant income from personal accounting. This can be done from anywhere, at any time—just fulfill your tasks. Your sim can be a digital nomad if you want.

At first, you won't be able to book in-person clients. But once your Sim levels up, they will be able to. It’s pretty easy to level up initially, so if you grind hard, your Sim will be a Level 2 Personal Accountant in no time.

Once you reach Level 2, you can offer your services to any Sim through the MoneyMastery pie menu under social interactions. You can have as many clients as you want, but keep in mind that the workload might be a lot to handle. You will still need to work with your digital clients in addition to your in person clients, so keep that in mind.

With in-person clients, the workload is lighter. You can meet up with them and complete some of your tasks in person through the available social interactions. However, there is also a computer menu you can use to complete tasks for in-person clients.

Keep in mind that the performance statistics are separate, so the amount of work you do for in-person clients and digital clients does not affect each other.

Taking a Break or Quitting:

If your Sim is feeling overwhelmed or wants to go on vacation, they can take a break for an indefinite amount of time. It’s up to them to resume the job when they’re ready. They will be paid for the next work cycle but will no longer receive a paycheck until they resume the job and finish the next 3-day cycle.

There is also an option to quit the career entirely. You can return at any time, but you will start from the beginning again.

Important! If you no longer want to be an in-person personal accountant, you need to talk to the Sim you are working with quit and then quit on the computer. (This will remove them from the personal accountant role, but they can join again at any time.)"

I think those are the most important details! Keep in mind I am trying something new and I thought it would be a fun way to include a new career in the game that allows true flexibility. So I would love a lot of feedback on ways I can improve and things that might not make sense.
