I think it was filmed around perhaps 15 years ago. It does sound like Robert Stephens, and he was taking small jobs at the time, but I just don't think they would've brought an actor like that in just to do a couple of lines. Unless he was a personal friend of the producer or something, I just can't see it. I've studied Warren Clarke. He can indeed do a wide variety of accents very convincingly, but it always sounds like his voice, so I don't see that being the case. For the same reasons, I can't accept that it's Kenneth Connor. I'm actually coming down on the side of it being Miranda's own voice, dropped an octave. There's just a cadence to it that is so unique to her delivery. Think about her saying "Oh dear, maybe your ears need unblocking". It's just delivered in such a Miranda Richardson way. If it's someone mimicking that I'd be very impressed. But people say that technology wasn't good enough in 1987 to have done that so well. I think people underestimate technology. I think it might be her.

That 'Queenie!!!' squeal, I'm sure had dogs howling from 5 doors down :) I'm so glad I wasn't wearing headphones, haha. Too much caffeine, Mandy. What would a decaf Mandy be like? I looked forward all day to watching this tonight, and you did not disappoint (not that you could). Great stuff. I had a question to put to you, but I've forgotten it now. If I remember, I'll ask. :) Grrrr so annoying when that happens.

Leg could have survived tho some medical negligence occured so it went septic. so he got a payout of over a million quid. Managed to sort himself a prosthetic tho, he can run again now

Bit of a romance film. I had to watch it as research when I took history and we studied highwayman whilst looking at crime and punishment throughout the years. Highwayman were always romantasised in literature and films.

She is actually who the Prince went onto marry in real life, and he hated her and spent ages to try and divorce her but noone would allow it ๐ . She eventually got ill and died saving him the trouble. It was an arranged marriage and he only married for her money to pay off his debts, as has been mentioned, he lived an extreme lavish lifestyle. He would taunt her and was jealous of her popularity with others. Once he had a kid with her, he pretty much washed his hands of her altogether, living separate lives whilst married.

It's got an electric fault which rather than tripping the breaker...trips the whole house. ๐ณ. Pulled it all apart, everything looks okay on the hob but the mains wire feels a bit gritty. Must be burnt out, but worse still it means I can't just replace/fix the hob. Gotta get the sparky in. Only last week I borrowed a hoover from my mate cos mine started sparking. ๐ถ More money.........gone! Btw the radish thing...real punishment apparently. ๐ ๐. They'd insert it and hammer it in. Hence Blackadder said "hammer it home". Also, if bugs are an issue, I've heard spiders hate lavender and mosquitos hate fire. I.e. candles. So a few lavender candles burning while you paint might do the trick ๐๐ Ps. DbD...it's a love/hate relationship for me.

But it doesn't sound anything like him, there is no mention of the source, and it's often hilariously wrong. I'm sure you've seen the memes. Many websites claim it is Warren Clarke, who also plays Mr Hardwood in this episode. Apparently he can do a variety of voices. But that may be wrong too, and all these websites could be getting the same wrong info from the same source. Some claim it is actor Robert Stephens, because it sounds just like him, and he often lends his voice to radio roles etc. Some say it is simply Miranda Richardson's voice through a filter. Unfortunately, it is not credited anywhere and the truth might be lost to time.
