Mandy, you had a couple of so cute laughs in that one too. :) I was eating while watching this and at one point I looked down and when I looked back up at the video, you were staring right at me. Haha. I dunno, it made me smile :) Well this is a double bill for me today as I'm a bit late on this one and now off to watch 8 out of 10 Cats Ep1.

He had a show with Richard Ayoade called Garth Marenghi's Darkplace which was basically a comedy spoof of those old cheesy, badly written, low budget 80s horror TV shows 😆

2023-10-18 18:34:21 +0000 UTCJust in case you're not sure what Fisher Price is though, Mandy, as it still won't make sense if you don't, haha - it's a toy manufacturer I think headquartered in the USA. Generally pre-school / infant toys, often educational. One line was the Fisher price family, all as toy figures; a bit like a much younger-aimed Playmobil. Fisher price man had a simple face and basic haircut, cartoon-like if you will, hence Gareth's comment. Of course, Gareth is hardly Mr Movie Star looks and has zero charisma or social grace either so he's just putting Tim down because his nose is out of joint. 🙃 I do think Tim bullies Gareth a bit and don't agree with it but Gareth doesn't help himself... 🙈

When i moved to a city for the first time i got a job in door to door sales, and they'd regularly have gatherings like this. Motivational speakers telling you how to convince people to buy something they don't want or need, how to turn every negative into a positive, how your hard work can get you a ferrari in a year's time, how if you have a bad day or you have any problems with what they're telling you, you're just "negging" and you have the wrong mindset. But the reality was most of the people were earning far less money than they would in a normal job because it was a stupid pyramid scheme. Then every friday they'd have this bizarre circle time at the end of the day, where you could drink alcohol and stand in a circle cheering the people that made sales... The funny thing is it really works!!! When they're filling your head with this stuff all the time you really start to believe it! Until you end up in a situation like mine where you'd be spending a ton of money on buses and food, and only make £15 after three weeks for walking around eight hours a day because the guy training you has total incentive to take the sales for himself. Absolute nightmare.
