I'm finally catching up on The Office, and just when you thought it couldn't get any cringier, there's another episode! But are you enjoying the awkwardness? Also, you should read a comment I left on your 'This is my... Aubrey', wilty clip on the regular YT channel (if you haven't already). It's just a bit of history, but I would almost go as far as calling it my magnum opus. Interesting. I have seen videos of people in wheelchairs getting stuck at the top of the stairs in emergency situations and being told to stay there and wait. I imagine if it were a real emergency like a fire, if someone is strong and able, maybe carry the person down without the chair?

The message on the computer screen says "It's now safe to turn off your computer" - back in the days of Windows 95, Windows didn't actually turn your PC off. Instead it just unloaded itself and then you had to turn it off manually. Also as a 39 year old I relate to David Brent - we're both in our 30s 😂

You won't remember but in the old days, when Windows 95 was the Windows to have, you didn't just turn your PC off and go to bed. You had to go to the Windows Start menu, select Shutdown and then wait for some number of seconds before Windows displayed orange text on a black background telling you "It is now safe to turn off your computer". You'd then need to turn your PC off, with a bloody button. That's the message you saw on the monitor. You youngsters don't know how good you have it with your modern power management settings.

Hey Mandy! This is a well timed episode for me. Genuinely, about 3 nights ago, I woke up in a panic that I'd completely forgotten to do the staff appraisals I was told to do when I was manager of a record shop. I didn't do a single one in 5 years. That was over 20 years ago! I don't suppose it matters now, if it ever did! 😂

As mean as it came across with leaving the woman in the wheelchair on the stairs, I believe that is what to actually cdo in tall buildings. I know in the college I went to, that was about 4 floors, and on the stairs there was a designated square on the stairs to leave disabled people. Then a firefighter or whatever would retrieve them. I guess , as mean as it may come across, it's to not slow people down as shown here. I know in a real emergency I was told at college by the head of health and safety that they had some kinda fancy chair that had like skis on that you can put people in to get them fast down the stairs. Of course here though it was used for comical effect to show Brent's character
