Absolute gold!! 🀣🀣🀣

Mandy Cane Lane

I love how David is talking to the camera about how his staff are his most important commodity and how he will help them with any problem they have all the while Dawn is crying in the background and he completely ignores her LOL

Nathan

OHHH!!! I forgot about that!! Thank you!!πŸŒˆπŸ€—

Mandy Cane Lane

Brent, when he "came back", did a series of guitar tutorials for Youtube, and put out a little feature of him and Don Johnson making "Equality Street", the song he mentions at the end of this episode. That music video is definitely worth watching, I think it's one of the funniest things Ricky's ever done. :D

Rikhard Henrik Rodrigues Neto

What about when the shitty personal stuff you're going through works with you πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

Josh sloan

Lol! Love it! πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ€£

Hahah Freelove Freeway was one of the first songs I learned on guitar 🀣 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fzdZYlacJY

Heck that's a very general one What if, you're shit at it! or expressing yourself causes you mental anguish? Bad memories, puts you in a dark place? What if, in the future, we're not the dominant species, and expressing ourselves through any form of art reveals our location, and therefore increases our chances of extinction? What if, in the future, society has already broken down due to trashing the climate, and/or due to the shifting equilibrium of our planets, and time spent expressing yourself in any form of art, is time taken away from gathering other essential resources to survive? What if, certain art materials become a very scarce resources, and too valuable to waste on a personal expression of art? The resource may even be rationed, making one particular form of art expression a bad idea. (haha you said *any*) What if, far off in the distant future, we inevitability become extinct, is it still a good idea if we don't even exist?

Lol! Good idea forever : humans expressing themselves through any form of art.

Oleg Berg has a channel where he edited* songs, his minor key version of "Every Breath You Take" fits the creepy stalker lyrics really well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JyFrIH2-ns *He's Ukranian and is no longer with us.

Time zones like getting your left and right right, are two simple things I will never wrap my head around. Sweet of you to remember x

Sara-Jayne

Yeah much better than last year! I just had a day all to myself, on my own and doing exactly what I want. It was bliss. Hope you had a nice birthday too x

Sara-Jayne

you got my attention xD , love that desperation david brent shows , i really hope you get to watch the movie of brent , its really really funny.

TheHigh

No they're just separate music videos. He actually did a tour as David Brent & Forgone Conclusion around the time the movie came out, I think he released the songs to promote it. - yeah, there's a bunch of characters in this show that are really relatable. I know someone very much like Gareth but instead of being obsessed with military stuff, it's bikes and motorcycle clubs. I tried asking him what they all get up to but he always says no comment and goes all hush hush about it like there are ears everywhere lol. its amusing to press for more info asking ridiculous questions because of how cautious he gets, even when there's nobody else around!

SynphamyMusic

That was a bold move Lewis! πŸ˜…

I have already seen 2 Monty Python movies, and yes! I plan to, but I find it difficult to find the timefor them... πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

All very informative! Thank you very much Mr 44! πŸ™ŒπŸ» I do not remember my 4th Birthday. Honestly I only remember 3 birthdays throughout my life. Well now 4, having just had one yesterday.πŸ˜… Anyway thank you for telling people about my reaction πŸ€—πŸ«ΆπŸ»πŸŒˆπŸŒ»

Mandy Cane Lane

Thank you such much Rusty! πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ€—πŸŒˆπŸ«ΆπŸ» I felt so bad for Tim! πŸ™ˆ

Mandy Cane Lane

I actually know someone a lot like him. It is heart breaking at times, but mostly annoying. πŸ˜… Do the official release of songs ever appear on the show?

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahaha, poor guy was so innocent with it 🀣🀣

Mandy Cane Lane

"I feel like all my kids grew up and then they married each other. It's every parent's dream!" - Michael Scott. 🀣🀣 Lol, very true. David Brent doesn't seem warm hearted at all πŸ˜…

Mandy Cane Lane

Hahaha! Thank you Matthew! πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸŒˆπŸ€—πŸ«ΆπŸ»

Putting all three songs together tells the story of a teacher whose wife left him, so he became obsessed and stalked her. He found it hard to resist the advances of his female students, so he banged a prostitute. Sting is messed up.

I think there's been a rape up there...

Lewis

Will you ever start reacting to movies ??

Happy bday Mandy πŸ‘πŸ™

Happy birthday Mandy πŸ₯³

AWR93

Saw this a while ago. Can't remember all the details but he was a millionaire or something if I remember correctly. Seem to remember the tonic was called Radithor

Captain Howdy

Great reaction to a brilliant episode! And Happy Birthday, Mandy! πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰πŸ™

Ash Jeffries

Happy birthday for yesterday Mandy x

Sara-Jayne

He also wrote "Roxanne" about a hooker. Maybe that was why he was divorced πŸ™ƒ

Danny

Happy birthday Mandy! πŸ€©πŸŽ‰ hope you had a good day

Danny

He also wrote Don't Stand So Close To Me. That's also an interesting subject matter.

Jeffrey44

Yeah she knows that but the thing I think is weird is she thinks that she looks just like him...is that a diss lol

Lee Dellbridge

Sting wrote 'Every breath you take' and it's about him spying on his ex wife after a divorce lol

Mr Snrub

Yes, I saw a video about the guy who drank Radium and his jaw eventually fell off. The images are grim.

Jason Webb

Good ideas that weren't a good idea forever: lead-based paint, and Elizabethans using Mercury as make-up.

Jason Webb

They thought drinking radium was a great idea until peoples' faces started falling off.

Regular Viewer Bunty Hoven

Who ties a dog to another dog is what I want to know? That's just asking for trouble. On an unrelated note, happy birthday! Hope you have a great day πŸ˜€

DriveIn

Thank you for another reaction video. I have told 9 people about it. Tim asked Dawn out to the pub (or bar as an American would say) in front of everyone because he was running on pure adrenaline, having just quit his job, and didn't have all the facts relating to her relationship status with Lee to be able to make a logical and rational decision. If you really want to learn to play the guitar, David Brent made a video (5 minutes) that teaches you how. You can learn to play the song he wrote, Free Love Freeway, but I'm not sure if he is a good teacher or not. You WILL need a guitar... https://youtu.be/H_OiXh9NGYk?si=tWDvkkR_qJIuvW4c If you just like the song, you can listen to it here... https://youtu.be/wGaaDYKLmGE?si=gX67PMSH7Xwefm2j In this episode, David Brent sang a song for Dawn that he originally wrote for Princess Diana (The British King's first wife). If you recall, the song talks about her dying in a car crash in a Paris tunnel. A related fun fact, her funeral was on 6th September 1997 (or September 6th as an American would say). Your 4th birthday! Do you remember it? The crowd threw so many flowers on the car carrying her coffin that the driver had to stop and get out to clear the bonnet (or hood as an American would say). Prince Harry, as a 13 year old boy, had to walk behind his Mother's coffin while the crowd and the world stared at him. He hated it, obviously. Anyway, happy birthday.

Jeffrey44

Most of the official ones are in David Brent: Life on the Road I believe. The movie is just average but the music is pretty good.

Snefru

Great memorable episode this one. The cringe with Tim though... yikes. Gareth is just so thoughtless in what he says sometimes. Still at least now we know his ultimate fantasy that he didn't mind sharing with everyone. Cringe-fest. BTW, that blue top suits you very well. Blue is my favourite colour and particularly that shade (a bit like my car, haha). Hope you're having a fantastic Birthday !

Rusty Dog

There are actually some official songs released by David Brent and they're actually pretty good & funny! Free Love Freeway that he plays in the meeting has a proper release featuring a guy from Oasis, Equality Street features Doc Brown who was in Taskmaster, worth checking out for sure. Gypsy Lady is a good one too. I think David Brent is quite a tragic character. He comes across as pathetic, but i don't think he's ever being malicious so much as he just desperately wants everyone to like him, it comes across as desperate. Like he really needs someone to give him some patience and tell him he's just better off being himself. He just tries way too hard to get people's approval, it always strikes me as a long developed symptom of loneliness. I feel sorry for him.

SynphamyMusic

By far my fave episode of the office. Love when they ask Gareth his ultimate fantasy πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

MarkCity10

Such a great episode for showing David's desperation to be the centre of attention. He thinks that the camera crew is his ticket to becoming a successful musician, he's constantly showing off not realising what an idiot he is coming across as. He needs to be the focus, he can't sit there and let Rowan do his job, because he doesn't want Rowan to be getting the camera time. He needs it to be him. Michael Scott is naive and has no self awareness, but he's a pretty sweet guy at his core who cares about his employees. David doesn't have that, he's a narcissistic fame hungry guy who thinks he's above everyone. It's so interesting watching him 🀣

Michael Harrop

Happy Birthday Mandy!... it's get better

Mattoid

I got his attention.... get their attention 🀣 Such a classic episode

Michael Harrop

This episode leads well into what I was telling you about with the David Brent movie. Its set quite some time after the series ended and he has a new job and decides to follow his music career again. Stuff like Freelove freeway and Equality street get full blown recordings. Oh and on another note, the actress who plays Dawn (Lucy Davis) is the daughter of comedian Jasper Carrott. I remember an interview she did once and she said someone asked her why she has a different surname to her dad and she said "what makes you think my dads real name is Carrott?"

Captain Howdy

Happy Birthday Mandy hope you have/had a great day. This was a belting reaction as always but when the guy said "It's very cheesy and 80s" I took that personally lol. If you liked the song Ricky sings you will like this version, It's Rick Gervais & Noel Gallagher I like it.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKJXAIl8Kw4 πŸ€—

π‘π’†π’Šπ’”π’•π’š 𝑺𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆

I never used to think much of the British office, but watching them again with Mandy has given me a new appreciation for it.
