Synergy Silo Update

Hey Patrons!

We've decided to go back to Synergy Silo and update it it some with new models, textures, and a brand new level layout!

We've swapped out a janky rocket chase sequence with some sliding sections that we think will work better and are creating some accent and trim meshes to help bring the level's design together!

Enemy - Knight Model

Hey Patrons, happy Friday!

We've finished the Knight enemy model this week and it's AWESOME!

As you can see, Knights come in two forms: Champion and Artillerist. We've even created a Ballista Bazooka and Sword for each.

They are also quite big, so expect them to be tough to take down!

Enemy - Knight

Hey Patrons!

Not sure if this concept was posted yet, but here's another enemy we've been working on!

The Knight is the highest-tier enemy in the game and comes in two forms: Champion and Artillerist. Champion will wield a great sword while Artillerist will use a ballista bazooka.

We're still writing up how we want combat to work against these guys, but expect them to be tough! We're also thinking they'll only appear in the last level of the game.

Since we didn't reach a lot of our stretch goals on Kickstarter, we've decided to put them on Patreon to give them a second chance (technically third lmao)!!!

Royal Reef Resort Entrance Work

Hey patrons! We've been doin some more work on the Resort level, including making the entrance to the building!

We thought it'd be neat to have a 2D mural with a 3D shark popping out with one of the slides going into its mouth!

We're about back to work!

Doin some tax and paperwork early this week, but we're having a meeting tomorrow to get everything back up and running again.

While I wait until then, I think I'm gunna take another look at the Resort's mountain meshes and see if I can't make them a little better

New Build Update

Hey all!

We've been working hard on getting a new build around for the holidays. There's just a few more bugs to iron out before its ready, but you can expect it sometime this month!

I guess you can consider it a stress test for World Partition, our new method of streaming the game's levels together!

Club Smooth Freefall Update

Hey Patrons!

We've gone back to fix up and expand some stuff in Club Smooth, including the freefall.

What used to be a few second fall through a short twisty hallway is now a full section with new hazards!

Cutscene Test

We've started playing around and testing cutscenes! We started with this one cuz of how simple it is and the gameplay necessity of it and it's turning out good so far.

Somethin we wanna do is have cutscenes blend in and out of gameplay, which we're still working on some aspects of, but it looks pretty neat!

Shiver Swamp Updates

Takin a break from working on Vistabell real quick to do some updates and fixes to Shiver Swamp.

The lighting has been broken for almost a year, so we're coming back and fixing it. We also have to re-add all the foliage. Might make a few new props and update others, we'll see!

Vistabell Cafe Remake / Progress

Hey Patrons!

I forgot to post this on Friday :D

We've decided to rework the Vistabell Cafe, which is the entrance to Headline Street, into a themed noir restaurant that we think will help it stand out from the rest of the buildings in Vistabell. We've also named it "Gianni's Joint"!

We're still working on materials and props, but it's comin along! Feels good to finally get this building made instead of it being a grey box for the past 2+ years

Vistabell Update Screenshots

Here are some screenshots of a few updates to Vistabell we started.

This includes:

  • The entrance to the waterworks which leads to Shiver Swamp

  • The beach which now has a blend of sand and grass (we plan to make a new grass material just for the beach and some beach-specific foliage to match)

Rad - Headless Horseman Costume Update

Hey Patrons!

Here's an update on Rad's Headless Horseman costume!

We got some really cool fire effects made for his hair and tail. Also, in the main material we added a bobbing effect to the pumpkin and parts of his clothing.

We're still working on a material for his face to make it look like it's carved into the pumpkin. We decided to make it out of planes to make blendshapes easier to do.
