Whereas now he still plays it but barely needs any 😂 It's such a genius character! Some of the references are dated as it's '96 & '02 in both series but the comedy is timeless

2023-12-01 12:59:14 +0000 UTCIt's Steve Coogan's most beloved character for sure, but he is known for being himself and other characters over here too, especially for us who are old enough to remember Paul/Pauline Calf, in recent years he's done 4 series of a show called 'The Trip' with Rob Brydon (who you'll know as the presenter of Would I Lie to You) which is absolutely brilliant, it's a mockumentary format with them playing themselves doing a series of foodie restaurant tours, it's funny actually as about midway through series two when chatting to my sister I realised she thought it was a reality show with them just being themselves, which is hilarious in itself! Most recently though he's played the infamous Jimmy Saville on UK tv, which I haven't been able to face watching yet...
