Daily Update: Concerning Skeletons and Trophies

This was going to be a pretty simple post until about 20 minutes ago. You can thank whoever nominated us for the Parsec Awards for spicing things up a little tonight.

It's not a big thing, really. Apparently some kindly spirit out there thinks we deserve a trophy for our efforts, which I am, of course, totally game for. Tangible symbols of affirmation are good for the soul. 

At a glance, the Parsec Awards are more or less an annual volunteer-run program that awards producers of audio fiction prizes in one of several categories for their efforts. Essentially somebody points a finger at your show, you send an example of your work, and then let the gears turn. It looks like we have until about June to submit our example, so I think it would be fun to spend some time discussing what best represents our work with you guys here first. We can also discuss which categor(ies) we'll be entering. Should be a fun thing, I think.

At any rate, back to the grind—today we finally finished this blasted, bottomless outline. We spent most of the day cutting and lean-ify-ing, and now it's just barely manageable, although I'm probably going to do a lot of paraphrasing in the actual script.

...which I would be writing right now, but I'm just about officially out of daylight, and tonight I have a prior obligation. I'm hankering to get this thing done, though. I want to see what happens when we post our longest list ever.

As an aside, we're still getting a handle on how to format a weekly/bi-weekly think tank schedule. It's on the way, just give us some time.

And as always, many updates forthcoming. The progress cannot be halted.

...except for right now, because I'm obligated to go indulge in the weekly evening of Magic: The Gathering.
