Suck It Weekly, Volume 20 (Movie Poll)
Added 2023-05-08 13:53:06 +0000 UTC-NEW CHOICES THIS WEEK: Thanks everybody who is in our movie club for being patient while we cleared out our initial list and got it down to a manageable size. I think 12 is workable, and starting this week we'll be going by the rules we had before: Majority rules, whichever movie gets the least amount of votes every week gets kicked off and replaced by the movie most commented/hearted. And if your movie got kicked off, KEEP. COMMENTING. IT!!! It may come back :)
-EUROVISION WATCH PARTIES: Y'all it's Eurovision week, and as a low-key masochist I'll be hosting watch parties of Semi-Final 1 on Tuesday, May 9th on Spencer Joyce Music starting 2:45 PM EST/7:45 PM UK, Semi-Final 2 on Thursday, May 11th on Spencer Joyce Music starting 2:45 PM EST/7:45 PM UK, and the Grand Final on Saturday, May 13th on Embrace The Suck 21. The Coronation Watch Party prepared me for the rest of Europe being pouty about what I have to say about their entries, so it's bound to be a great time for those of you who love chaos as much as I do. I do also love positive livestreams, but more on that later...
-FATHER TED & PEEP SHOW: Both the Series Finale of Father Ted and S1E5 of Peep Show are a go for this week. We have no idea what we're going to do after Father Ted, however I did give Daniel the DVD player gifted by loyal Patron Beth as well as all the DVD's gifted by various people who had the best intentions. Odds are good we'll be looking for a shorter series that are available on YouTube or DailyMotion as both Peep Show & The Ricky Gervais Show are extremely long & there's no guarantee Daniel can get the DVD player working with his setup.
-BREW & BANTER UPDATE: Last time I spoke to Daniel, he was sick as a dog as a result of not sleeping well after our outing on Thursday night, plus his wife is off for a work-related trip this week, so that in combination with his son and puppy may see Daniel either not doing Brew & Banter this week or not as much. He hasn't told me either way what his plans are at this time, but speaking of livestreams...
-NO GIG, NO PROBLEM RETURNS: I'll confidently say that on Friday, May 12th starting around 4:30 PM EST/9:30 PM UK we'll have No Gig, No Problem #9 on Spencer Joyce Music. Thanks to everyone who tuned into NGNP #8 which was spontaneously planned after I called Daniel to let him know I had made it to MD and he suggested that I send of the storage unit on the SJ Music side of things. This time, NGNP #9 will be from my Nana's Basement. Which leads me to my last point...
-THE STORAGE UNIT IS RETIRED: After we had our last Fireside Chat from the unit, we recorded a handful of videos & officially retired the storage unit. I was able to fit a good amount of things from it in my car, however not everything. Luckily I gave Daniel the keys and he'll be over there this weekend to take everything out and keep at his place for the next time I come up there. In next week's poll I'll let y'all know which videos were recorded at our final unit session.
