A few miles from where I live was the building which was used to film the outside of Fawlty Towers but it was actually a restaurant. It was called The Grange and it was in Wooburn Green, Bucks and I went for dinner there once. It felt strange and also very familiar to drive up that iconic drive. It's sadly been demolished and there are houses built on the site now. Such a shame. I feel your pain when you watch these! So funny to see your reactions.

she wanted 92,500 pounds for her house in brighton, thats 598,767.41 pounds today! :)

When I was young I also listened to the audio cassette version. It was narrated by Manuel, so you got a bit of extra content. Not as good as the video, but nice to get something extra.

You guys are the best reaction channel out there! You know these were filmed live in front of an audience. Well you might not know that they rehearsed over and over, until they got every gag sequence as funny as they could make it. It was all talent and hard work. I like the bit where the actress who plays Mrs Richards gets her line wrong about going upstairs and says downstairs, so Cleese improvises the bit about not stopping in the basement and giving his regards to the Earth’s core. The way he fitted that in like it was in the script was genius.

She has her knockers but I'm a fan 😜

Victor Meldrew the main character in the One Foot in the Grave sitcom is another character who cannot get a break and gets into some very strange situations there is a good compilation on You Tube and the actor who plays him makes a guest appearance in series 3 of Father Ted

Could we just pause to tip our hats to Connie Booth, this show's secret weapon. She's great in a more understated way, always tried to bail Basil out of trouble, Manuel's only friend and Sybil's only trustworthy employee. She ran the place!

British comedy loves an underdog that, no matter what, never wins. I think pretty much all our sitcoms, and Mr Bean, are built around that premise. Some of them are so excruciating I can't even watch them. They're just too awkward to bear.❤️

What button are you pressing on the keyboard after you've unpaused the show that keeps the pause icon up in the middle? It's doing hell with my OCD XD. Great episode though.

Add A Fish Called Wanda to your film list guys. More John Cleese lunacy.
