0.8 Development Update 2

Well, the housekeeping is well underway, buuuut...
Okay, let's start with what we've got right now.
0.8.01
Is now out in Early Access - ➡️https://rift.ink/4f73FqU - with Cait x Lyriel threesome!
And it's totally awesome, hot and sexy! There are eleven animations in it, including the animated ending, and almost all the possible combinations of Cait and Lyriel and you!
Other than that, there's... Not much.
The sprites for all the girls are now updated, we've finally remastered (parts of) the first few story events, and we started work on many other things. Just look at the difference.
Imma be honest, I was kinda ashamed of what the very beginning of the game looked like for a long time now. Now it's starting to look nice.
The problem is, we haven't finished most of the housekeeping. Yeah, sorry. The house environments still need further updating, some early events need more love and polish, and we're finally reworking the lewdness system and making the sex scene progression much more intuitive and fun. This is our current worksheet for Rae's scenes:
I'll talk more about it later, when we finish the tweaks and do at least some internal testing. In any case, the rest of the housekeeping should come in v0.8.02. We'll try our best to add some story content as well, and we're definitely adding a new sex scene to go along with the Lewdness mechanic update.
It's probably going to be all Blair, she has the least amount of scenes as of right now, and our new lewdness system requires there to be at least about 10 before it really starts working properly. So we're going to up our game, pardon the pun. I'm lying, I'm not sorry about it. Anyway, expect the poll soon!
Hm-m-m... You know what, we'll call the whole of v0.8.02 The Lewdness Update and maybe try to sneak in at least one other sex scene into it.
Dark crusade against adult content
Now to something not nice.
So, as a lot of you probably already know, Itch has shadow banned all adult NSFW content from their browse and search pages. That happened after they got hit with an ultimatum from payment processors.
This wasn't entirely their choice. Steam went through almost the exact same thing just a few days earlier, and Patreon was brought to heel years ago under the same kind of pressure. Surprise, surprise, it's the same gang of payment processors, because they are a monopoly.
Then there's the new UK law requiring ID verification to access 18+ content online. Twitter blocked all NSFW from being seen until they "determine the age" of the users in the UK and the rest of Europe. But hey, they are "protecting the children" by not really doing anything but forcing the adults to jump through hoops to see the perfectly legal content they want to see.
Right now, we're still doing fine. Patreon is still our main platform, and we haven't been forced to change anything so far. We've been on Itch just to get more eyes on the game, so while it sucks that they're forced to re-review all adult games and we're not getting any views in the meantime, it's not the end of the world. We're hoping we'll still be listed once that's done, but it's kind of out of our hands at this point and I think we'll manage in any case. I don't even know if we're getting anything out of twitter by this point, so if it dies, it dies.
That said, even if we make it through this round of purges without much trouble, not everyone will. Some devs are going to get burned by this, and some might lose their income completely. That really, really sucks.
The main issue is, payment processors shouldn't get to decide what kind of content is allowed online. Platforms following the law of their host countries? Sure, of course. But being forced to submit to vague demands from an effective duopoly of fucking payment processors? That's not okay. Why the hell do they even have a say in what folks are spending their money on as long as it's legal?
We're gonna keep doing what we can to stay there and keep the game available to all of you. And we really hope people keep pushing back against this kind of censorship-by-proxy. It matters.

You possibly already know this, so I'm sorry if that's the case. But I've found some continuity errors, which is not surprising given the scope of the project and the way it's continuously expanded upon. But I've recently started over and noticed a few things. 1) Probably the most story breaking. It's possible to have sex with Cait in the showers before her first time event. 2)There is a hang out scene where Cait wears her glasses before she's unlocked them in the story (minor, just thought I'd share) This one also happened to me several patches ago, so there is a chance it's already fixed. But since it's so minor, its more likely no ones noticed. 3)This one is probably hard to fix, but it's a little jarring if you care about this stuff like I do. But it's possible to have a dinner event, to broker between Lyriel and Naomi, after Yona's joined, possibly Blair too. So essentially you have the dinner without inviting those two, which is a bit unlike Cait and the party in general. RUDE! :D I don't know, probably really hard to fix. You'd probably either have to lock people out of the event after they join, lock progress, or have blair and yona added which I imagine is a lot of work. Still, all of that is preferable in my eyes for the good cause that is well, realism. That's all, keep up the great work. I'm really enjoying this little tale. Especially like the "Do" prompts. They add a great sense of progression, gamefies the game a little. Which is always cool.
