0.7 Development Update 32

Hey, folks!

A shorter dev update this time. I've been a bit sick last week, and with me still sticking my nose into everything the team does, the Alpha is going to be a bit smaller and a bit delayed. Let's go through a few points, though.

Valentine Special - Erotic Estates Artbook is no longer available

If you were subscribed to Friend or Resident tiers on February 28th, you'll get an email soon with the permanent links to the artbook and all the bonus materials. The bonus animations are going to be finished soon, we'll probably just link to the folder and add them there later.

v0.7.17

Is now fully out with all the planned content. Cait's latest story arc is over for now, so we're moving to the other girls and the main storyline.

We've made alchemy repeatable and added three new(-ish) potions. You'll have to find them in the library, brew them, and observe the effects. All in the name of quasi-science, of course. We'll improve the UI, and maybe think up something to make the process more varied. Will definitely do something with the search process, as of right now it's kinda dull.

Don't forget to check out new Actions, too! Some of them will evolve into sex scenes for sure.

v0.7.18

We're currently adding another batch of potions to the game. Lyriel will finally get to have a bigger bosom than Cait!

Expect a poll early next week, we'll be adding the first bonus sex scene to the alchemy minigame. We'll also figure out the way to add back the potions from the Lost and Found quest and will let you either replay the scenes, or get them for the first time if you skipped the brewing before.

The environments for Rae's next story event are being finalized as we speak. Not sure if we'll be able to fit two story events for her in 0.7.18, but we'll try to! And we'll add another batch of Actions whenever they are ready.

Short thoughts about the latest polls

The poll in the latest development update was quite conclusive. Vast majority of you folks are happy to keep supporting the game as long as you get some content on the regular. Before that, you folks voted in favour of minigames and actions. All that means that I can finally stop obsessing about including scraps of story in every single update, and focus on making the whole thing work better together and adding some simple fun stuff.

I'll be honest, working on Alchemy and Actions is a breath of fresh air. Writing the story is super cool and awesome and I love doing it, but a few years in, one needs a bit of a break. I'm already feeling better about it all after doing the last two story-lite updates, and we'll probably do a few more of these later this year, maybe without any story events at all even.

All this is not to say the story is going to stop moving forward altogether. On the contrary, one of the reasons for doing this is so that we can focus on telling the story we want, on the scale we want it to be, without trying to split it into tiny bits.
