0.5 Development Update 19

Hey, folks!

First of all, sorry for the belated dev update, and second,, screw this. And by “this” I mean multiple updates per month. The exact dates of the next few updates will be all over the place, but on the whole, I’m switching to monthly updates.

Some life stuff happened last week (and even before that I decided to redo a couple of animations, just as I suspected), so the 0.5.5 Alpha only went out on Friday. At least the barmaids are happy.

I’m adding a few more things for the Beta release, and at the same time we started doing all the animations for the upcoming Bunny Lounge update. Technically the project’s anniversary was on Saturday, so yaay 🥳, but the update will be out in something like two weeks.

If for some reason you forgot, it will feature stuff like this:

And a whole lot of other animations. I think we’ll end up with at least 16 loops for Alpha, and maybe a couple more for Beta. Otherwise, the update is going to be all eye candy, no story to speak of.

We’re still preparing stuff for Cait's story push in the background, it’ll probably take about 3 to 4 updates to resolve her next arc, and the first of those updates should drop in June.

Speaking of June, I’m definitely taking a vacation this time. For real. It’s been almost two years without a proper one now, and it wasn’t even ‘rona’s fault.

Provisionally, I’m going to be away for the last two weeks of June. I’ll try to prep as much stuff as possible in advance and leave the second artist with a huge pile of work, and we’ll try to release a full update in July. But realistically, it’ll probably be a bit smaller than the rest. That’s just an early heads-up, though, I’ll share more details later.
