Switching to Upfront Payment, but You're Unlikely to Notice

TLDR: I'm changing my Patreon to charge up front, but it's pretty unlikely you'll notice the change since Patreon will continue charging at the beginning of the month and you've already joined. I have multiple reasons why I'm doing this and I hope it doesn't cause any issues. You all are awesome and thank you for supporting me. ^_^
The whole story: Now that most of my long time followers have joined this Patreon, I'm seeing a lot of awesome newbies and I'm quite happy. But there's a side effect I'd like to put a cap on and that's the sudden influx of people who:
1. Read a preview and click through to my Patreon.
2. Sign up.
3. Read that story and maybe one other one.
4. Leave before the end of the month to avoid payment.
It started out with three or four people and has grown over time to over a dozen some months. Not only does it make it hard to figure out how much I'm going to make each month, it gives me a poor idea of how successful my various projects are. Since I post everything (except things like games that I can't share or implement on furry sites) about four months after it comes out on Patreon, everyone can read my stuff for free, eventually. So this change will just make some people have to wait longer while helping me grow my business so I can do bigger and better things in the future.
The reason why I want to point out this change is so no one is caught by surprise. The only annoyance this "pay upfront" structure will cause is that people who jump on my Patreon will be charged when they join and then at the first of the next month. That could potentially lead to people getting charged on the 30th and then again on the 1st.
Okay, and now for some good news: Two stories will be coming out within the next week. Another Sarah/Elara story that I helped Sarahvixen create and an easter story that will transform you, the reader, into [spoilers]. After that, I'm going to add TF to "Your New Name". I really want to run another vote this month, but will wait until I have thought about it a bit more.

I think there's very specific situations where it might make sense, but I'm happy I changed it so far.
