Depending on how you go about it you could have a curse on the town, or give them technology that allows them to pay for things with their size and apply that 'energy' to someone else.

Sometimes my best ideas are ones I get from trying to take a kink that I'm not particularly into and transform (pun intended) it into something I'm excited about.

But since there's interest, I'll try to see if there's a way I can do this sort of story in a way that interests/excites me. Not sure if I'll think of it before the April poll, but I will give it some thought.
