Sailormoon inspired!

Ive always been inspired by Naoko Takeuchi work! Sailormoon was my inspiration growing up. I love the idea of a Moon Princess and her sailor scouts. I remember pretending I was her and I had enough sisters to create a sailor scout team haha.

At the start of my Dream Project I had no references from Sailormoon, but the deeper I invested in this project I began to include many things. if it isn't obvious Lili's white dress is a pure inspiration of Queen Serenity. I made mine more simple since I didn't want to focus on to much detail of her dress in the comic.

Now Lili does have a golden dress but in some illustrations her dress becomes to much and overpowers the piece and the idea of this dress came to be when I was trying to find a substitute. Lili wears a golden Sash so the viewer can still see the gold that reflects from her.

Here is a funny story, When I was visiting Japan in 2018 I met the singing coach of Dali the band who sang the Sailormoon Opening. I was going Hiking in Kyoto and met her and her friends and she invited me to dinner and I had an amazing time! they were all kind and I learn so much about her time coaching Dali as well as her other friends career such as voice acting etc. I really miss them but we are friends on Facebook I hope to see them again one day such lovely people.
