What's the deal Miller? An explanatory Q&A about my new adventures.

So a lot of people have – quite rightly – asked for an explanation as to what exactly I'm doing right now, so I thought I'd post a handy Q&A to explain. Any other questions, just comment and ask!

Have you left Whatculture/VideoGamer?

No. I’ve just gone freelance so I can get involved with more projects I was keen to do, such as The Miller Report: Reborn on Patreon.

I’ll still be doing videos for Whatculture and VideoGamer, as well as any outlet that’ll have me. So if you enjoy my ‘normal’ face or my non-character opinion in article or video form, you’ll still be able to get that wherever I may turn up.

I recently did some stuff for Vice, EuroGamer and Trusted Reviews – which was great – and I hope to do more of that over the coming weeks and months.

What are you doing now?

As above. Freelancing and loving life.

What is The Miller Report Patreon?

The Miller Report is a character I created back in 2015, who is basically a way exaggerated version of myself. Wonderfully people seemed to like it and it caught on.

I left it for a while as I wasn’t sure what else to do with it, but the idea of shooting ‘proper’ Miller Reports – or longer, more episodic episodes – really appealed to me, especially when I bumped into like-minded people who thought we could make something of it. I genuinely think myself and this team can create something really special.

I also enjoying being ‘Miller’, because he’s an idiot, and that includes the more silly videos I’ve done in the past, such as my latest interview with The New Day. Unfortunately life costs money, so I need some support to do the character just so I can turn down work as and when to focus on ‘Miller’ content. I’ve got to find that time/work/money balance.

Nothing will be locked behind a paywall, though, apart from the monthly Q&A videos and one extra ‘Hurricanrana Off The Top Rope’ wrestling podcast a month. That’s just because I want to give something back to Patreons, but otherwise it’s more about supporting the character and his nonsense so I can justify doing it as opposed to paying for content or access.

What about the wrestling podcast?

It’s coming back next week (17th October). It’ll be once a week, and I’m going to use the Patreon as a way to support that, too. Again, though, it’ll never be gated off, aside from the extra one I’ll do for Patreons as a thank you.

Anything else?

Never bicep curl in the squat rack…
