Greed God chapter 159

April 3rd 2016 Gemworld 10:00 AM EDT

It  took days to get Amy back to Lord Town, get everything set up, talk her  into 'visiting' and prepare for my departure. All of this was of course  undercut by preparing to upgrade all my Gotham crew up to E rank like  Barbie and I, and making sure that Doctor Fate was prepared for his part  of the plan on the other side. Passing over the Amethyst necklace to  Amy had been easy, I just claimed it was a wedding gift and she'd been  overjoyed to see it. I wasn't sure how it got back to Earth when she had  most likely used it to get back here a few years ago, but I also didn't  really care, so it worked out.

Which  was how I came to be standing outside Lord Town at ten in the morning  with Barbie, Strega, Zee, Amy, Emerald (who had categorically refused to  leave Amy's presence since we had fucked her, I think we might have  broken the poor thing, she just stared at us with a dreamy smile most of  the time) Sally, Waylon, Sindara, and Hildie. I'd decided to leave  Gioto in charge, with several very specific compulsions in place to keep  him in line, since even if he took over someone in town would just kill  him anyway. He wasn't strong enough to hold this place without my  protection.

I  looked over my people and decided that I should upgrade Sindara first.  She was the newest, sure, but she'd given up everything to come with me.  Rewarding that kind of service set a good precedent, and it was only  like a ten job to get her up a few ranks with my current point value. I  started sifting through the Maw of the Many Headed Hydra at my waist for  materials as I did a quick appraisal to refresh my understanding of  pretty Sindy with the magic vibrating cunt.

[Appraisal  function activated. Treasure detected. Sindara Bonespur- G ranked  necromancer. Daughter of Alaric Bonespur, leader of the Bone Barons,  Sindara is her father's perfect princess. Treated like a beloved little  sister by the whole gang (the ones still alive anyway) Sindara has her  father's ear on most subjects, and is a willful and excitable girl. Her  true loyalty lies with her master Nicholas Lord, whose bloodline runs in  her veins.]

Exactly  as I'd remembered. I'd looked her over with appraisal after I bound her  with the chalice and while she hadn't gone up to F rank, she'd  definitely gotten stronger. Her aspects to work with were life and  death, which I found pretty interesting. My vital tempest bloodline was  going to make anyone who carried it more in tune with life energy, and I  wanted to see what that would do. So I merged in a G ranked chunk of  Onyx imbued with death magic that the bandits had been hanging onto, and  an F ranked Emerald my sweet little stalker princess had given me as a  wedding gift. Once the light faded I checked out my new E ranked noble  with another appraisal.

[Appraisal function activated. Treasure detected. Sindara  Bonespur- E ranked Living Lich. A soul inside of a living body,  immortal and unceasing while still drawing breath. Sindara is a mistress  of living necromancy, possessing the ability to raise not only corpses,  but dead plants, or anything else that once lived into a state of  reanimation so lifelike that only mystical prodigies will be able to  tell them from the living.]

My  pretty little striped slut had washed out to a chalk white pallor, her  eyes glowing an unearthly blue that matched her blue lips. It was kind  of sexy. She swayed on her feet, long hair swaying down to her ass and  so black it seemed to drink the light. She let out a ragged moan as she  wiggled there in front of me. "Oh, master. This feels amazing." She  plastered herself against me, kissing me roughly, and the unnatural  strength in her new body made it clear our next fuck was going to be  even more fun. I pinched her tight little ass with a wink and turned to  Sally.

I'd already appraised her,  so I didn't bother with the do over just pulling out the item I'd been  saving to use on her. I'd considered giving Waylon the Hammer of the  Broken Sky, but it and Sally were both F rank. Using it would let me  skip some preliminary upgrades, and besides, something about it seemed  like it would fit with her build. I pulled it free, even as a dragon  noting how heavy the damn thing was. With the usual flash and another  hundred million points deducted, I was staring at a more powerful Sally.

[Appraisal function activated. Treasure detected. Sally  Sarasota- E rank Sky Titan Fledgeling. A former enhanced human upgraded  by a supersoldier serum, Sally, also known as bone breaker was merged  with the mindless flesh of a distant child of the progenitors of the  greek gods. Though she possesses only a trace of the bloodline, Sally  has inherited a small portion of the powers of Atlas, titan of strength,  granting her massively enhanced physical power and durability. After  inheriting the will of the Tiger's Eye Tyrant, Sally has stepped onto a  new path, one to becoming a titan of the Sky itself.]

I  whistled at the description. Sally had definitely gotten stronger. I  could feel a kinship in her, a whisper as the sky spoke to the tempest  inside me. She would have some form of air manipulation, though I didn't  know what form it would take. Physically she hadn't changed too much.  Her bronze skin had remained the same, and her height was still about  six feet. Her eyes had shifted from emerald green to a bright, blazing  blue like the summer sky. All of the changes had been internal.

Letting  out a long breath I turned to Waylon. Two down, two to go. I wasn't  upgrading Hildie right now. She wasn't a priority and I was going to  have to do this some more when we got home anyway. Zee was D ranked  already, which meant after Waylon only Strega was left. I looked up at  my bodyguard, and reached into the pack to find a few things. I merged  them together a few bloodline density enhancers, a few for upgrading,  but I merged them one at a time, burning the points to create the F  ranked reagent I needed. I'd considered what to do about Waylon for a  while, the terror croc was crazy powerful, but if I wanted to go up the  later I should try for something...more.

[Appraisal function activated. Treasure detected. Waylon  Jones- E ranked Chosen of Sobek. A prodigious shifter gifted with the  form of the most terrifying of crocodiles, Waylon has gleaned the  secrets of the crocodile, understanding the secrets of touching the  power that lives inside his archetype. Gifted with a trace of the divine  power of the crocodile god, Waylon's terror croc transformation has  been fundamentally altered into a divine variant, giving him access to  more power in his human shape, and the ability to control it's size.]

That  was actually a surprise. I'd tried to upgrade his 'bloodline' which  wasn't really a bloodline but I cheated with my merges anyway. He'd  apparently achieved a small sliver of divinity, which was fucking  awesome, though he was only a chosen for now. Waylon blinked a pair of  crocodile eyes at me as his body reformed, seemingly somehow...heavier,  though not in a physical sense. He grinned at me as his eyes flicked  back to normal, and I nodded before moving on to Strega.

For  my blood witch, I knew exactly what to do to her. I slipped out a pair  of Carmine stones I'd managed to scrounge up, and without even asking I  merged them into her. For a normal bloodline I'd use my own blood as a  base, but Strega already had a connection to blood just like the carmine  nobles. The stones would be plenty for her, and merging them together  produced exactly the interaction I'd been hoping for.

[Appraisal function activated. Treasure detected. Strega-  E ranked Carmine Noble. A skilled and ruthless neophyte sorceress who  dabbles in curses and necromancy, Strega has long since renounced her  birth name, selling it to dark entities to enhance her abilities.  Notably older than she appears, Strega is the resident blood magic  expert of Pentacle, and a wanted killer with a taste for human  sacrifice. Imbued with the blood stones of the Carmine lineage of  Gemworld, Strega has connected even more deeply with blood magic, her  body strengthening and connecting with blood in a unique fashion.]

Perfect.  My blood witch was a blood noble now. The physical changes were  pronounced. Strega's hair had changed. Where before it was red, now it  looked like a cascade of fresh blood, and her eyes had shifted to the  same shade, though only the iris had been altered. She gave me a deep  and respectful bow as she stared into my eyes suggestively, and I didn't  think it was a coincidence her tits had nearly popped out of that  corset dress. Amy was still glaring at Sindara, though she didn't look  hurt, just sulky, so apparently some of my tweaks had been effective.

I  turned back to the others. I was down to fifteen million four hundred  and forty seven million greed points, which was plenty. I had everything  I needed from this place. I considered upgrading myself right now, but I  had the feeling this next jump would be attention grabbing, and this  place was crawling with nosy magic users. I'd do the upgrade at home  after things settled down which meant it was finally time. After months  here, we had accomplished everything I'd needed, and even more. It was  time to go back to Gotham.

Looking  at Amy, I shot my wife a smile. "Ok baby, it's your turn to do your  thing. You know how to use the amulet? And more importantly how to  control it? If we pop up where we left we're all going to get fucking  murdered. So I need you to be sure."

Amy  shook off her pout and beamed up at me happily. "Of course Nicky! I'm  so excited to go back to your hometown and meet your family." She stuck  her tongue out. "Even if they aren't what I thought they would be." I'd  bitten the bullet and told Amy my dad wasn't a dragon. Funnily enough,  she'd heard of Maxwell Lord, and me choosing to share with her seemed to  make her feel we were getting even closer. She seemed incapable of  getting truly angry with me about anything, and I planned to do my best  to keep that going as long as I could.

Smiling  at her, we all spread out, taking hands and standing in a circle around  Amy. Even Emerald was coming along apparently, which was nice. She  could distract Amy while I was taking care of business back home. I  didn't have time for a honeymoon until I enacted my plan. Amy closed her  eyes and called upon her energy, imbuing the necklace with the power  she would normally use to shape an Amethyst with her magic.

She  poured it in and the stone began to glow a deep, riveting purple. The  glow wasn't uniform, the purple was many different shades, rioting and  shifting inside the stone until finally, it BURST, exploding energy over  us. The light blinded me, and I couldn't see a single thing that was  happening for a minute. When it finally faded, it was replaced with  sunlight as we came back to reality standing in a large peaceful meadow.

I  would have assumed it had failed, except off in the distance I could  see the daily planet building towering in the skyline among the rest of  Metropolis's skyscrapers. A wide grin split my mouth as I realized it  had worked. All the effort, all the preparation, it was all paying off  now, and it was time to finally finish this. Doctor Gotham had pissed me  off, and all my effort had been for the sole purpose of paying him  back. Time to commence the plan. I turned to the others. "Barbie, take  the girls back to the Palace. I've got business to attend to." I didn't  want anyone with me for this. Danger aside, I wanted them to be  mystified as to how I did it. After all, the world would never be the  same after this.
