Hey all,

Here's a quick video I made about a game called Letters to a Friend: Farewell. It's Christoph Frey's newest game! It's also a bit spooky, so be warned if you're not in the mood for that sort of thing outside of October.

I do think I have to clean some of this up before it goes public - there's a few noise and/or flubbbed lines still in there, and I'm debating whether I want to fluff up some of the examples of other German Expressionist films with Metropolis or something, but also I think this is in a somewhat passable state.

I'm still working on the TikTok video, but struggling to find an angle that sort of unifies it, and in the mean time I'm working on the next Children of DOOM, which if the TikTok thing doesn't solidify will probably be the next "big" video. In the mean time, I'm gonna try to get out more of these short-ish looks at games, especially in light of the recent round of Indie Games Coverage Discourse (tm). As ever, the problem is figuring out whether something a bit longer and more loving (like this) is worth the effort at the exclusion of other titles vs. covering more stuff but faster and shallower. It's a difficult balance to find, but I'll keep adjusting the nobs 'till I'm happy.
