2022-07-25 20:35:20 +0000 UTCI think Jon does it partly out of kindness, but the main argument is the one he presented to the nights watch. Ultimatively, Jon and the Nights Watch have to fight the white walkers. If the Wildlings stay North they will eventually be assimilated into the Army of the Dead. So the very practical question is: Do you want to add them to the enemy or rather have them as an ally.
