Oops 2: Oops Harder - 0.03.52 Update Build

So. It's been a rough almost-twenty-four hours.

Obviously things didn't go as well as I'd hoped with the latest update. Void Dreaming is a complex beast and I'm doing all of the non-art work myself, so things are bound to go wrong. This is true of any big project, of course, but this is especially true with a project with as many moving parts as VD has. I set my sights as high as I reasonably could, and then reached higher. So... I'm going to cock things up from time to time.

However, what I wasn't ready for was the level of understanding and appreciation that fans of Void Dreaming have been showing me while I frantically run around and try to fix everything. You've all been, without exception, so kind and wonderful to me through this whole update ordeal, and I am grateful beyond words for your kindness. It has, to be candid, been the only thing that's kept me going this last day. Shit has been rough.

But enough of that. Hopefully, with this update, the vast majority of the typos are worked out, and the bugs that are inhibiting gameplay have now been firmly squashed and ground into the deck. Event scenes should now be sorted, Origin-based dialogue choices in certain circumstances should now actually check for your Origin (great work, Fae; truly inspired), and a few extra continuity issues have also been ironed out.

Once again, I'm immensely sorry for the buggy state of the 0.03.50 release. I wanted it to be better, you deserved for it to be better, and I can only commit to trying to work harder in the future to ensure that you receive the quality of story that I want to present. Your kindness and patience are one thing, but I would rather you all get something worthy of your support.

For now, I do hope you all continue to enjoy your time with Void Dreaming. There's a lot in this update, and I hope you have fun with it! I don't think Innovator Rael has ever felt so real to me as he does today.
