Nick's News - January!

Happy January y'all! This is my first newsletter for those interested in all the stuff I'm hoping to do throughout the year. I've usually avoided newsletters because when you have so many goals, it's easy to have to put some aside and I never wanted to feel like I disappointed anyone if that happened.

But!!! That's a silly thing to think, so I'm moving forward with one anyway because it's fun. I'm constantly doing like, 8 projects at once so deadlines are hard for me, but I've gotten better; even with this club!

I would like do do this in sort of a video format potentially? That would be cool. I have a lot to say and it might be cooler to just listen to. Just a cool way to organize my thoughts.

Reflecting on last year: 2024 was a year of embracing my own neurodivergences' and better understanding how to tackle things that are difficult for me. As someone with horrendous executive dysfunction, even things like drawing monthly rewards was really hard. But I spent ALL. YEAR. working on making things better, and changing them to be fun. For instance I switched the rewards to be variants of my shapeshifting fursona, Luey. we started making keychains! This completely changed the game for me. We did a few too many conventions towards Quarter 3 and this year we're cutting back to no closer than a month between cons. I drove 11k miles to conventions, I'm POOPED. I also drew every day last year. Werewolf rehab ignited a lot of passion for art I hadn't had in years. I've gotten.......fast (but I also don't do traditional linework or coloring. my only goal is for people to feel emotional impact, as long as I accomplish that, I don't care how simple my art becomes!)

Main Goals for this year:

• Vend at least 8 conventions

• At least 4 shop drops: valentines (Feb), Easter (March-april) Pride (may), Summer (July) Halloween(Sept). Christmas (November)

January Goals (ik this is a lot, this is an average month for me!)

• Draw & submit February Rewards DONE

• Edit and post YT video (mwilkbunny beware)

• Script February video (Cartoon lesbian Tier list)

• Valentine's Merch Design + prototype

• Print headbases for 6 big cat fursuits

• New Logo design

• (if I'm ahead) March/April Patreon reward sketch

Dates for these vary, because I do so much on any given day I don't typically post WIP bc I don't want to blow up anyone's notifications. But! I could easily post as each item in the to-do list is done :)
