2023-08-01 16:03:07 +0000 UTCThe shroud around the barrel is protect it from impacts with hard objects like trees. The 25mm on the Bradley actually had a redesigned fluted design that would break before it bent so it could be still used without losing accuracy. Apparently this happened more often then not :)
