Villain Bio: Detective Kent Allen

Kent Allen is 40 years old, one of the youngest members of the police department to attain such a high rank. He is the oldest son of a wealthy family of lawyers, but he was briefly involved in gangs as a youth, until ‘education saved my life’, as he says.  He graduated high school with top marks.

He’s a physically imposing man. He’s almost six-foot-six, and still retains the muscle tone of his youth despite his desk job. When he was younger, he played on the police force’s football team until his duties forced him to cut back.

He was team quarterback in high school and was captain of the boxing team in college, though both endeavors were marred by unsubstantiated rumors of inflicting career-ending injuries and of inappropriate involvement with younger teammates. It’s said investigations from officials always stalled because of his parents’ money. Though he was working on a pre-law degree, he quit college in his senior year to join the police department. His parents were surprised and dismayed, but ultimately supported his decision.

He distinguished himself as a patrol officer and was promoted to Detective 3rd within a few years.

He was first assigned to Vice and was mentored by Sergeant ’Red Ivan' Bernard. Unknown to everyone, Bernard ran a slavery operation from within the department, handling sex workers brought in by Bratva trafficking rings. It is unclear how much of this Allen knew at first, but within a year of being appointed to Vice, he was head of a small squad of specialty operatives dubbed ‘The Crew’ that ran interference for Bernard’s clandestine operations. When Bernard’s activities were eventually discovered by a reporter, Allen emerged clean of all involvement. How he obtained this degree of immunity is still unknown.

In the wake of his exoneration, Allen began to deal in department politics. He was eager to move up the command structure. To do that, he had to leave Vice.

He was promoted to Detective 1rst and transferred to the prestigious Major Case Squad where he interfaced with Federal law enforcement on large scale crimes such as kidnappings and bank robberies. During this time, he married Ira Maye Madison, only heir to the Madison publishing fortune. He also became involved in the growing problem of ‘super crime’, crimes perpetrated by metahuman and technologically advanced criminals (most ‘super crime’ cases are automatically referred to a special branch of the FBI’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Directorate).

He began to consult Iron Harbor’s most visible vigilante, Black Tiger, on difficult cases and soon afterwards Allen’s façade began to slip. As he worked with Black Tiger, Allen became obsessed with the teenaged adventurer to the point that he enslaved him with a hypnotic sex-drug and started milking his superhuman semen for sale.
