Blue tanker ready!
Added 2023-05-20 20:32:07 +0000 UTCMy friends, I wasn't feeling the muddy vibes yesterday, so I instead painted the tanker sitting in the turret. I'll keep the remaining two figures for the diorama as they're more fundamental to that part of this project.
This one was a very interesting experience as I was getting familiar with my new AK 3rd Gen. acrylics - and they're amazing for glazes! However, they behave slightly differently when you're brushing them in small, controlled amounts, such as highlights.
But overall, they're very predictable, they all dry to a completely flat finish, and that's pretty cool all on itself. I'll add some greasy and muddy weathering to this chap later down the road, but for now, it satiated my acrylic painting tastes! Also, it was a sweet change to paint something else than another military green uniform.
Speaking of which, it's as if these early Soviet tankers were wearing worker's overalls instead of proper tanker uniforms! :D
