New building in the process

My friends, the last time we made a styrofoam building was almost a year ago! This time it's going to be an old warehouse right next to the rusty Conqueror. You might've noticed some similarity with one of the buildings I posted recently - in real life, it's a warehouse from an old collective farm in a neighboring village.

I didn't have a styrofoam block large enough for the entire building, so I had to glue two pieces together. Luckily, the glued joint will be hidden under a layer of plaster.

Speaking of which, this one will be finished in sections. So far I've carved the cinderblocks and bricks into the foam, and the next step is painting them! Then I'll add the cracked plastered walls from thin sheets of styrofoam and acrylic putty, and paint those as well.

Then the metal fixtures, details, windows, roof, etc. etc. Should be fun!

Regarding scale, my estimate for this building is 4m high from the ground to the top frame of the window. I calculated this using the standard cinderblock dimensions - 25cm tall and 50 cm wide.

Also, the metal tube in the corner is not a downspout. My guess is a metal "skeleton" for the building - first, they fixed 4 massive metal poles in the ground and used those as a frame for the walls. The real life version can be seen in the previous post :)

How do you get the "texture" effect on your bricks? Beautiful work.

YES! I love it when you make buildings. More! More! More!
