Just a simple base

And we're done! This base was cut using a circular jig and because it was rather smooth, I brushed the sides with two coats of thick household acrylic black paint.

This is the first time I didn't paint the earth because it had a very authentic color that captures forest ground perfectly. Combined with lots of leaf scatter it was the perfect base for further details!

So the painting was mostly about moss, paper plants, and the dead branches. Although these received just a few green washes. As always with scenic bases, some things take forever to dry, and putting this scene together in one day meant I spent almost half the time just waiting for glue to evaporate :D

However, this project was fun from the moment I started painting the car all the way to the end!

Hello my friend! Congratulations on your amazing work and your helpful, amazing and funny videos! Two questions related to the video on Youtube if you please :) 1) What is the reference you use for the moss (I believe it's woodland scenic but there is different size and color - and the color I have seem to be way darker than yours. And ok you paint it after but still it seems to me that it's best to use something close to the color you aim in the first place)? 2) What is surface tension? (When does it occur? What happens if you don't take it into account?) Many thanks!

That looks sooo... I can't even describe how cool it looks. Like a piece of nature cut out of the world. I know, it always has bin and will be an armor and tank channel, but can we have some like this from time to time? Like a "Nature study", overgrown ruins, maybe a river with a half sunken rowing boat inside. So the ship modeling people in here are satisfied, too xD. For real now, it looks awesome!
