My friends, some elements of the diorama are ready. Quite the difference, right? :)
The brick wall was treated with Bergswerk Lightweight Putty. I've spread it over the wall with a sculpting brush, pushing it inside in irregular patterns. This method is so much better compared to the dry sand + plaster mix! The weathering was carried out the usual way using acrylics - white, light mud, deck tan, black brown, green, etc.
The concrete slabs were also painted the "usual way" (the only way I know :D ) and I added some algae from crushed foam. That's roughly where the water line should be once I pour the resin.
The bridge was sprayed with two coats of grey, the second one was lighter, and both were applied over chipping fluid. Rust tones were added using new weathering enamels from VMS and these seem to be working really well!
I'm currently painting the trees. These are really boring, but I'd like to get them finished tonight. Wish me luck!
