My friends, I had some quality bench time the other day... because the result is a completely chipped model :)
Now, there's one undeniable fact... yes, the chipping on this model, and the more recent ones as well, isn't as refined and perfectionistic as it used to be. No more 70-hour chipping marathons, that's for sure! The reason for that? Well, it was this technique that was the most time-consuming and it was severely hindering my progress on every model. To make more compact videos and keep releasing them frequently, I had to adjust some methods, and this was the biggest one.
Also, the more stuff you put on the model, be it stowage or figures, the more stuff you have to paint properly... so if you add more stuff to paint, but you want to keep your pace, you have to subtract somewhere else.
But hey, I think the results are still pretty satisfying!
So what's next? Details and stowage! Because on this one, I'm going to paint everything with acrylics first, and then hit it with enamels!
