My friends, heavy mud finishes always take the longest because there's just way too many layers at play. But, BUT! I've finally got them done!
The pre-dusted upper surface were first treated with the same paints and techniques as the lower hull and running gear. After setting up this base layer, I went over the entire model (tracks and wheels included) with my trusty dark mud mixture (Ammo Earth + Dark Wash + Wet Effects fluid), adding the final effects and contrasts.
I also took care of the exhausts and some lost panel lines using the Sepia oil paint (exhausts were also airbrushed with a flat black Tamiya paint).
And now, all that's left are some grease stains, polished metal edges and antennas! So the tank itself will be finished tomorrow π And then the tanker figure, probably a small base, and maybe some stowage to give it more color? We'll see!
