The gents are ready

My friends, Alpine delivers once again with these beautiful French tankers. They had a few more casting imperfections than their previous figures, but still nothing serious. Just two small holes and some very obvious mold parting lines. I noticed some microscopic bubbles in these pictures, but they're very small. I'm sure the primer and subsequent layers of paint will get rid of them.

Now these folks have the same uniform. Light tan trousers and leather jackets. Leather should be pretty interesting to paint and I'll try to add as much variation as possible so they don't look like carbon copies. I'll start with airbrushed pre-shading as usual, can't wait!

Also, as I'm continuously adding individual elements to the scene, the final composition is starting to become more clear, right? 😁

Michael, actually it depends on your preference. For example if you want a black leather, very dark gray or dark brown for base do the trick. And if you want an aged look, some green tones or orange tones for highlight works. Even orangey rust color can be used. If you want a brownish leather, you can either use any kind of brown color or even there is a leather brown in valejjo range. As for the highlights u can either go for Iraqi sand or buff. The thing is that sepia ink work both of these. The thing is using ink as a kind of glaze. I hope this helps
