Also, today marks the end of the Jagdtiger weathering stage! Not sure if it lives up to the hype, I kinda didn't want to overdo anything and I was also quite lazy towards the end, but pretty much everything is there - more earth tones added around the tank including the tracks, some subtle wet stains and water effects, grease, smoke residue and also polished metal edges. I also played around a lot with the spare tracks because last time they were just covered in a rust and dust wash.
Now of course it's not entirely done. Tomorrow I'll try making the pine tree branch camouflage. Fingers crossed, because I really want them to look good as they'd make the model more unique. Also there's gonna be some stowage, but this time I'm most likely not gonna add any tarps, bedrolls or any of that kind of stowage, instead just some stuff that can be actually seen on historical JT photos - jerry cans, a tool box, jack, maybe some oil canister and those 3D printed helmets from the previous post. And of course those spent shell casings which I printed earlier 😊 So yeah, still plenty of stuff to paint!
