Just more sheeps

The chipping process is progressing steadily my friends. Sorry for not updating you yesterday, I just don't want to bombard you with "look, another plate done" posts, so instead here are two of the busiest areas on the model done. Luckily, all that's left is the left side of the hull, the roof and rear of the fighting compartment. And of course wheels which I'm gonna treat mostly with VMS reverse chipping.

At times, I keep saying to myself "man, you've gone too far this time, it's taking you ages" but when you look at it from slightly afar, it looks pretty okay 😁

The whole process should be done by the end of the weekend, then we'll see how fast I'll be able to  paint all the surface details and impacts. We have more shitty weather incoming over the weekend, so there should be plenty of time. Oh and we're also entering another country-wide lockdown the next week, as the pandemic has been getting out of hand here... yeah, not cool...

Well, but the good news is, I finally decided to order a new camera, Canon EOS M50. It will arrive next week, so hopefully, hopefully! we'll have better colors, and most importantly, better overall quality. Maybe even 4K? It'll depend on the file size 😁

Damn, that sucks way more than Friuls, those at least don't fall apart when you handle them roughly! I assembled one set of Masterclubs for the Object 279, so 4 tracks (almost like 2 sets lol) and I only ran into minor issues where some pins didn't fit inside the hole and I broke several of them. Makes me slightly nervous because those resin pins aren't as strong as metal wires, hope they won't break apart during the weathering process!

If only the process was more time efficient! But I have some ideas for the next project!

Slight off-topic but I've just watched the build video. I'm assembling at the moment MasterClub's tracks for SMK tank. Man they're so shit. I have to drill every single one, the pins should me 0.6mm, yet roughly 20% of the pins don't even fit into 0.6 holes and require sanding, the flash requires to file every single track if you want the to actually work "freely", so the sag can look good - without filing they fit so tight that the track doesn't behave naturally. Never buying them again. I'm gonna stay with fruils - even if they require drilling and filing - the wire always fits and they work fine. Can't say that about MasterClub. Anyway if you decide to try them I keep my fingers crossed that you have more luck.

Wow! Suddenly it starts to look like proper heavy metal. Amazing how much the chipping changes the look. Fabulous work, as ever.
