Hey friends, just a quick update while I'm waiting for the green dots to dry so I can continue working π
Now the JT looks like a proper ambush hunter. I tried to replicate some of the dots - their placement, shape and size - according to photos, but you can't see that much in them honestly, but I suppose this is how it looked back in 1945, more or less of course... I can't wait to start putting some weathering effects on this camo, it's gonna be so fun!
So when the dots are fully dried and leveled, I'll give it a thin coat of gloss varnish where decals are gonna go (I know you don't need to gloss before decals, but I just don't trust the dunkelgelb MMP base, so I want something extra sturdy to protect it from decal solutions).
Then some detail painting with dunkelgelb on some parts, a satin VMS varnish and finally I'll tweak the oxide primer parts.
