Damn boy he not thicc anymore!

My friends, sorry for the delayed update!

Build video took a bit longer but it'll be that much worth it, and I've been experimenting with Mission Models paints that I received some time ago. I figured this might be a good model to try them out, and of course since they're acrylics and I'm used to work with lacquers, they need some getting used to. After initial experiments which were terrible I feel like I'm getting the hang of them, but I need to do some more proper "final" tests tomorrow before I start painting the JT.

So this is just a quick update on it... it's disassembled, ready to be cleaned and degreased (no point in cleaning it if I won't start painting it right afterwards) 😊

They're just disassembling it so they could sell it as scrap steel 😁

Night Shift

You know, after trying to give them as many chances as I could, I'm on the same boat with you Scott. They're very translucent, I just wasn't able to spray smooth transitions with them so I gave up and tried Tamiyas. However They spray pretty well as a solid base coat, and the lack of smell is nice, so I'm gonna give them a shot at least that way!

Night Shift

Oh no! Ze Russians intercepted it and are now trying to build one too!

I stocked up on MMP and then sold them. I wasn't a fan of their color fidelity vs other brands and they can be VERY translucent, to the point of them being almost unable (I heard this with their Redesea color) and having to be an alchemist to make them work properly with their poly and other mixtures is a real turn off. The smell of Lacquer based products doesn't bug me (since my sense of smell sucks anyways) and I have a spray booth and that helps. If I need to brush paint anything, I use Scale75, Vallejo, etc-its almost impossible to find a paint that will do it all without giving up some key thing that presents a problem.
