Hello friends, well the armor texture is in place! As you can observe on some pictures I already started adding the flame cut marks but I have to render credits into tomorrow's video so I'll go for a ride in the meantime and finish them later.
The texture is done in two steps this time - first stippling with a really tough brush and modelling glue, and the second is the traditional application of diluted Tamiya putty. Everything was then sanded down with a fine sanding sponge as usual. When you're using superglue to fill gaps or holes, a strong glue can alter the surrounding surface in such a way the filled hole will start poking above the surface and it needs to be scraped down as seen in photo 2.
The flame cuts are also being done in a slightly different way, using the edge of a square needle file and a razor saw, it's a much more efficient method than using a hobby blade. But more on that later! Like I said, I need to finish them, then add a few welded details and then it'll be all ready for welding!
