Well, I decided to make the most out of that single bottle of DAK wash and here's the result. I spent a good amount of time today thinking whether I should do this or move on with the chipping. But before I talk about it, I want to welcome all new Patrons and say that, as usual, I'll be sending out refunds to everyone who joined in the past few days because Patreon will charge your card again very soon πSo...
This whole post-shading method was inspired by my friend's work who really perfected it to a point where he could just add a pinwash, paint the details, add some subtle dust and call it a day. I'm obviously not there yet, and quite frankly don't want to be π because I just like chipping and rust effects too much, but I wanted to try how much can be done with the combination of post shading and a single bottle of enamel wash.
Needless to say I'm going to make a quick video about it and talk about the possibilities... I promise, it'll be a quick one, so I'll have it done tomorrow.
This decision was partially made after I remembered that not every video production has to take a week and that I indeed can make a video about a quick technique every now and then π And, if I continued with chipping today, then I'd have to paint all the details as well because I don't want to make a separate vid about painting the stowage and details.
So after this one is done, I'll proceed with chipping and rust (challenge accepted: make it subtle) and also details and stowage, so I'll be able to wrap that all up into an episode, and then finish it off with earth tones.
