Who would've thought...

that a stupid fence is gonna take so long!

I should've known better, because texturing every single plank is not a 5 minute ordeal...

Yeah, well, I found good use for The Chopper once again 😁 And the woodgrain texture was done with a razor saw. I made the fence 2 cm tall (roughly 1m in real life, which is standard height for cattle fences), and... I don't know... it feels weird when it begins and ends pretty much nowhere, but I suppose that's how it's meant to be done in a vignette? 😄

Anyway, I'm just about to start adding some grass. The terrain will need a few tweaks here and there, and after that it'll be ready for painting!

And thank you all for the amazing support, I appreciate it so much my friends!

As usual, I'll be sending refunds to new Patrons who joined at the end of the previous month 🙃

More progress tonight...

Thanks Harold, hopefully it'll look even better once painted :)

Actually both ideas are solid! But having 2 fences ending with a gate or a collapse would look helluva unnatural, and it would need to be executed in some creative way I'm not able to think of. Maybe if you'd have one fence, one end could end either with a break or a gate, and the second end would just go into the infinite void. It would definitely partially solve the problem! I'll mention it in the video.

Well done! This is looking great! 👍

The only way I can think to 'cut off' the fence would be to either have a gate post (so it looks like the rest of the gate is off the base, but it gives you a hard stop) or to have the final part of the fence collapsing, but neither of those ideas is very elegant. I think it conveys a perfectly clear image as it is.
